In the first phase, the company had stopped this service in districts like Motihari, Katihar, Khagaria and Munger etc. This service will be stopped in Patna and other districts from today.

This decision of BSNL will have the biggest impact on customers having 3G SIM. After the service is stopped, they will only be able to make calls and SMS from their mobile, but will not be able to enjoy the internet. A few days ago BSNL officials had told that the 4G network has been updated in the state. That’s why 3G service is being stopped. BSNL is upgrading SIM for free

If 3G SIM users want to enjoy data, they will have to upgrade their SIM. BSNL is giving 4G SIM to its customers in exchange of 3G SIM without any cost. In future, 5G connectivity can also be enjoyed on this SIM. Affected users can change their SIM by visiting BSNL office. For this they will have to carry their identity card with them. Apart from Bihar, BSNL has stopped its 3G service in many states also.
