Actually, in the last episode, Bangalore-based skin specialist Anu Varghese sat on the hotseat. Anu Varghese played a very good game and she is the second contestant who won Dhan Amrit i.e. prize money of Rs 75 lakhs. Though Anu could have become a millionaire too, she decided to back down.
What was the question for one crore?
Amitabh Bachchan asked Anu Varghese, “On 26 January 1950, in a postage stamp issued to mark India’s first Republic Day, the lines of which of these works were engraved?” Four options were given, first – all where there is good, second – Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, third – Jana Gana Mana, fourth – Vande Mataram. The correct answer to this question is ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’.
Could not answer even knowing
Anu knew the answer to this question, but she was a little confused. They thought, how would such a big name come on the stamp. She thought of locking the second option i.e. Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, but she sat down locking the fourth one i.e. Vande Mataram. Since this answer was wrong, she could not become a millionaire. However, she went home with Rs 75 lakh. The contestant does not lose any amount after winning the Dhan Amrit Padav.
