These 22 companies including Tata, Mahindra and Amazon will be able to verify with Aadhaar

Aadhaar has become necessary for many works in today’s time. Due to this, starting from opening a bank account to getting a new SIM card has become a snap. Seeing its convenience, now the government has expanded Aadhaar Authentication. The Finance Ministry has now approved 22 finance companies to verify their customers with Aadhaar.

Finance Ministry notification

The Finance Ministry had issued a notification in this regard on Friday. The 22 companies that have been approved by the Finance Ministry for verification with Aadhaar include financial companies of groups like Tata, Mahindra, Amazon and Hero. The ministry says that these 22 companies will now be able to identify customers using the Aadhaar number as well as verify all their other important information.

These 22 finance companies include Godrej Finance, Amazon Pay (India) Pvt Ltd, Aditya Birla Housing Finance, Tata Motors Finance Solutions, IIFL Finance and Mahindra Rural Housing Finance Ltd, Uniorbit Payment Solutions Ltd and SV Creditline Ltd.

In a news report of PTI, Sandeep Jhunjhunwala, partner of Nangia Andersen LLP, has been told that these banking and financial companies will now be able to verify their customers through Aadhaar authentication. He said that the list of 22 financial institutions notified by the Finance Ministry is now allowed to use Aadhaar authentication to verify the identity of their customers and beneficiaries.
