PR Sreejesh Love Story: Former Indian hockey team captain PR Sreejesh retired from hockey after becoming a two-time Olympic medalist. He was also a part of India’s bronze medal winning team in the Tokyo Olympics and then the Paris Olympics. Now he has revealed some secrets related to his personal life. During a conversation with News18, he told how he had a feud with his future wife during his school days.
Let us tell you that India’s legendary goalkeeper married his long-time girlfriend Anisha in 2013. He has a daughter from this relationship, who was born in 2014. His son was born in 2017.
Meeting with Anishya and then enmity
PR Sreejesh said that he was very good in studies and he first met Anisha during his school days. This great goalkeeper said that Anisha had surpassed him in scoring marks, due to which there was a rift and enmity between the two. But as they started studying together, their enmity first turned into friendship and then both of them fell in love with each other. They converted this childhood love into marriage in 2013.
Sreejesh became the coach of junior hockey team
Shortly after India won the bronze medal in the Paris Olympics 2024, PR Sreejesh announced that he was going to become the head coach of India’s junior hockey team. However, after retirement, he also said that he wants to take a break of 2-3 months and rest before taking up the responsibility of the post of head coach.
As soon as PR Sreejesh becomes the head coach, he will face a huge challenge. Because the Junior Hockey World Cup is going to be held next year. India last became the Junior Hockey World Champion in 2016, but Team India had to settle for fourth place both the times. This time Sreejesh will definitely want to change the fortunes of the team under his coaching.
