‘There is no difference between India and Bangladesh, the same is happening here too’, Mufti said on Sambhal violence

PDP Chief On Sambhal Violence: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and President of the People’s Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti said on Sunday (01 December 2024) that the situation in the country is not good. Taking aim at the central government, Mehbooba Mufti said that when the youth demanded jobs and hospitals, they did not get them and if the government cannot give all these to the youth, then they start looking for temples in mosques. The government is not able to provide good education to the youth. The central government is not able to repair our streets and roads. Regarding the Sambhal violence, Mufti also said that it was a very unfortunate incident.

Mehbooba Mufti said that our leaders Mahatma Gandhi, BR Ambedkar, Maulana Azad and others have made this country a home for Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians. However, the situation in the country is different now. Not only this, the PDP chief said about the situation in Bangladesh that the situation there is not good. Our Hindu brothers are being tortured there. There is no difference between India and Bangladesh. Here too minorities are being targeted. What difference will there be if we keep looking for temples in mosques?”

‘Umar Khalid has been in jail for 4 years’

PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said, “In the situation prevailing in the country today, people are being made to fight against each other and I fear that it is taking us to the same situation as happened in 1947. The accident that happened in Sambhal is very unfortunate. Those people had nothing to do with it. If anyone says anything on this, they will be put in jail, like Umar Khalid has been in jail for 4 years. There are no hearings these days.”

Targeted regarding EVM

Mehbooba Mufti said that Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs all visit the 800 year old Ajmer Sharif Dargah, which is a sign of our Ganga-Jamuni culture. Regarding the elections, Mehbooba Mufti said that in elections, the voting percentage is different and at the time of counting, a different result comes out. There is something wrong with that too. The Center allowed the opposition to win in one state because no one could raise questions. There is doubt in this too and the Election Commission does not give any answer to this.
