The troubles of former NSE CEO Chitra Ramkrishna are increasing, the Income Tax Department raided

Income Tax Department Raid: The Income Tax Department has raided the premises of Chitra Ramakrishna, former MD and CEO of National Stock Exchange (NSE) in Mumbai. Ramakrishna is in the news recently after a SEBI order, which said that he had appointed Anand Subramaniam as the Group Operating Officer of the exchange and advisor to the Managing Director (MD) at the behest of a yogi from the Himalayas.

Officials said the raids were aimed at investigating allegations of tax evasion and financial irregularities against him and others. The SEBI order said that Ramakrishna shared certain internal confidential information, including financial and business plans of NSE, with Yogi and even consulted him on the performance appraisal of employees of the exchange.
