Mother Vindhyavasini: A temple of Mata Rani where the tradition of Bhandara continues for 30 years. Where the Shukla family works to feed more than 5 thousand hungry people every day. This Bhandara was started by Rajendra Shukla, founder of Vindheshwari Group in Vindhyachal. Which is moving forward under the guidance of his nephew Shashikant Shukla alias Sonu.
You will be surprised to know that every year during Chaitra Navratri and Navratri of Ashwin month, more than 5 thousand people are served food here every day. Apart from this, the Shukla family also runs a free ashram, where everyone is taken care of.
Shashikant Shukla tells that our family used to sell tea under a thatch in Lucknow. Due to lack of any kind of equipment, he used to sleep on the bench. He even mortgaged his jewelery to do business. My uncle Rajendra Shukla started Bhandara in Vindhyachal with 50 kg flour and 25 kg rice. With the blessings of Mother, today 5000 people are served food through the service run by her.
Shashikant told that till now 70 to 90 thousand people have taken food. This Bhandara starts every day at 10 am. The special thing about this Bhandara is that there is no wastage of any kind of food in it. Those serving food keep an eye on every person to ensure that no one wastes the food. Special attention is given to cleanliness in this Bhandara. Serving people is our ultimate religion.
Pundits of Vindhyachal say that everyone is allowed to eat in this Bhandara. There is no discrimination of any kind. The Bhandara run by the Shukla family works to feed the destitute and poor people.
