what is typhoon
Typhoon is a low pressure storm that rises from warm areas of the ocean. In its early stages, it is considered only a hurricane, but when its internal wind speed is 120 kilometers per hour or more, it turns into a typhoon. Sometimes its highest speed also goes up to 360 kilometers per hour. Typhoons rise from the western Pacific Ocean. After rising from here, it moves towards Japan, Taiwan, Philippines or East China.
The speed of going ahead of it is 65 kilometers per hour. These storms of Asia usually come between June and November. Its greatest danger occurs in August-September. It can leave an impact on an area of more than 900 km. According to an official of the Japan Meteorological Agency, Hinnamnor will be the strongest storm of 2022 based on the maximum sustained wind speed recorded at this point.
Hinanor likely to weaken in the coming days
The Hong Kong Observatory said that at 10 a.m. the center of the storm was about 230 kilometers east of Okinawa, Japan. It is being estimated that it will move west-southwest towards Ryukyu Islands at a speed of about 22 kilometers per hour. The JTWC of the US has predicted that the super typhoon may weaken somewhat in the coming days. Things are somewhat calm in the Atlantic, but this is the first time in 25 years that the region known as the Hurricane Alley is calm.
In fact, in this region between Africa and the Caribbean, the month of August is known as the beginning of the most active phase of stormy weather. Lead author Phil Klotzbach, who writes seasonal storm forecasters at Colorado State University, said that in more than seven decades of ocean expansion record-keeping, he has seen only August 2 without a hurricane. The first such opportunity came in the year 1961 and the second in 1997.
