Ashwin, who has already played 8 seasons for Chennai. On one hand, CSK has to fill the slot of a top order Indian batsman and an experienced fast bowler, so there is little hope that they will bid Rs 15-20 crore or higher on any player.
According to TOI, some time ago Ashwin had told in an interview that he wants to once again play for his old team i.e. Chennai Super Kings. Meanwhile, there is also an update that CSK franchise can play the right to match card on New Zealand’s explosive opening batsman Devon Conway. Conway could not play the last season due to a thumb injury, but in IPL 2023 he scored 672 runs at an average of 51.69.
Talking about Ravichandran Ashwin, he has played 97 matches for Chennai Super Kings, in which he has 90 wickets in his name. He has also scored 190 runs for this team. But when CSK and Rajasthan Royals were banned for the 2016-2017 season, Ashwin has not played for Chennai since then.
