BCCI Sacks National Selection Committee: After the failure of the Indian team in the T20 World Cup, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has taken a big action. In fact, the BCCI has sacked the entire team including the chairman of the selection committee, Chetan Sharma. This gaze has fallen on him after the poor performance of Team India in the T20 World Cup. After the dismissal, BCCI has also removed new applications for the vacant posts.
The blame for the defeat on the selection committee
In the semi-finals of T20 World Cup 2022, Team India lost to England by 10 wickets. With this defeat, the Indian team’s dream of winning the T20 World Cup after 15 years was shattered. Now the BCCI has blamed the failure of the Indian team on the selection committee. After this failure of the Indian team, the BCCI has decided to sack the selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma. On the other hand, the board has invited new applications for the vacant posts of the National Selection Committee on Friday itself.
Who can apply
There are certain criteria that must be fulfilled in order to fill the newly released application form by BCCI. According to the press release of BCCI, only those candidates who fulfill the following criteria given by BCCI can apply.

Applicants must have played at least 7 Tests or 30 First Class matches or 10 ODIs and 20 First Class matches.
Apart from this, it has been at least 5 years since the applicant retired from cricket.
The last date for submission of application issued by BCCI is November 28.
