A Bajrang Dal worker was stabbed to death in Karnataka’s Shivamogga late on Sunday night. Tension has increased in the district after the murder of 26-year-old Bajrang Dal worker. The incident happened at 9 pm. According to the information received, the name of the victim is Harsha. On this incident, Karnataka Chief Minister Baravaraj Bommai said, Harsha was stabbed on Sunday night. The investigation had started last night itself. The police have got some clues.
At the same time, Deputy Commissioner of Shivamogga district, Dr Selvamani R said, the situation is under control. Local Police, RAF have been deployed to maintain law and order. Section 144 has been imposed in the area, which will remain in force till February 23. At present the police is investigating the matter.
On the other hand, this case is also being linked to the hijab controversy. In fact, Harsha recently shared a post on her Facebook profile against hijab and in support of saffron shawls. Now giving fuel to these rumours, Karnataka Minister Eshwarappa has alleged that the goons of a particular community were involved in the conspiracy to kill. He said, ‘I am very disturbed by the incident. He was murdered by the goons of a particular community.” He further said that I am going to Shivamogga at the moment. Eshwarappa also said that the violence took place at the instigation of Congress leader DK Shivakumar, as he had said that after removing the tricolor, saffron has been waved.
On this incident, Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambareesh said that the ‘murder’ of a Bajrang Dal worker in Shivamogga is an unfortunate incident. The Karnataka government is trying its best to keep the situation under control but some groups are provoking people. On this matter, former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said, I condemn this incident. The incident took place in the district from where the Home Minister and the Chief Minister come. The culprits should be hanged. I condemn the resignation of the Home Minister.
