According to a news in India Today, India has withdrawn its name from the Blind T20 World Cup 2024. The government did not allow Team India to go to Pakistan. The Blind T20 World Cup is to be organized from 23 November to 3 December. But the Indian team will not participate in this tournament. The Indian team has been the champion of the Blind T20 World Cup. India has suffered a severe blow due to it not going to Pakistan.

India’s performance has been strong in the Blind T20 World Cup –

Blind Team India has performed brilliantly in the tournament so far. Team India had defeated Bangladesh badly in the 2022 final. India won this match by 120 runs. Batting first, India had scored 277 runs in the final. In response, Bangladesh team was able to score only 157 runs. Team India had also performed brilliantly in 2012 and 2017.

Controversy also arose on the issue of Champions Trophy –

India’s main team is not going to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Champions Trophy is to be organized in Pakistan next year. But Team India will not go to Pakistan for the tournament. There has been a lot of controversy on this issue. Pakistan had recently proposed to take the Champions Trophy trophy tour to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. But after the objection of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, it had to be canceled.
