India vs Prime Ministers XI Warm-Up Match Day 1: A five-match Test series is being played between India and Australia. The second test of the series will be day-night pink ball test. To prepare for this match, Team India had to play a two-day warm-up match against Prime Minister’s XI. The warm-up match was to start today i.e. Saturday, November 30, but due to rain, the first day was canceled without the toss.
Cancellation of the first day of the match can prove to be a huge loss for Team India. This is because now the Indian team will get only one day in the warm-up match to prepare for the Pink Ball Test. The match is to be held at Manuka Oval, where rain seems to be becoming a villain for Team India.
The match will be of 50-50 overs on the second day
After the first day was washed out due to rain, both the teams will play a 50 over match on the second day i.e. both the teams will have to play 50-50 overs on the second day. In this way, Team India will get 50-50 overs in both batting and bowling departments.
The match will be held from 06th December
The second match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played from 06 December. This will be a pink ball day-night test, which will be played at Adelaide Oval.
India is ahead 1-0 in the series
The first match of the five-match Test series was played in Perth. By winning the Perth Test, Team India has taken a 1-0 lead in the series. The Indian team won the first test by 295 runs under the captaincy of Jasprit Bumrah. Jasprit Bumrah is the vice-captain of Team India in the series, while Rohit Sharma is the regular captain. Rohit Sharma could not play in the first Test of the series due to the birth of his second child, due to which Jasprit Bumrah took the responsibility of captaincy. Team India had performed well under the captaincy of Bumrah.
