Experienced batsman KL Rahul got injured during a practice session in Perth before the start of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia. The Indian team began playing a three-day intra-squad practice match at the WACA ground, where Rahul was hit by a bouncer during the match simulation.
During practice, KL Rahul was hit by a sharp bouncer on his elbow, due to which he felt severe pain. The team physio immediately came and treated Rahul. Despite the injury, Rahul tried to continue the game, but felt uncomfortable and had to leave the field. Before this incident, Rahul was looking in good form and had scored 29 runs. However, due to injury he had to retire hurt and leave the field.
Who will open for India in the first test?
KL Rahul’s injury has now raised questions about the Indian opening pair for the first Test.
