Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries has brought Britain’s iconic organic coffee chain brand Pret A Manger to India. Reliance Brands Limited, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, has told Pret a Manger that the first store in India will start this year. The store will be located at Maker Maxity in Mumbai. Pret a Manger’s first Indian store is modeled after Pret’s London stores. This store has been built in 2,567 square feet, which also has dining space.

The entry of Starbucks in India was done with the help of Tata. The Tata group and Starbucks formed a joint company with a 50:50 stake to start the business of the American coffee chain in India.

During the financial year 2021-22, Tata Starbucks had started 50 new stores, which is the highest number of stores opened by any company during any one year so far. It is clear that Tata Starbucks can get a tough challenge from Pret a Manger.
