Suspicious package received threat near US Embassy in London! Alert in Britain, Gatwick Air evacuated

London’s Metropolitan Police has confirmed that a controlled explosion was carried out near the US Embassy in Nine Elms on Friday. The incident occurred when information was received about a suspicious package being found in the area. The US Embassy in London said: “Local authorities are investigating a suspicious package outside the US Embassy in London. The Met Police are in attendance and Ponton Road has been closed as a precaution.”
