Bharatpur Seat: There are 7 assembly seats in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. In this, after continuous defeat for 15 years on Bharatpur assembly seat, the Bharatpur seat was fielded by Congress in alliance with Rashtriya Lok Dal in Bharatpur assembly elections in the year 2018. In the year 2018 assembly elections, Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate Dr. Subhash Garg won the Bharatpur seat.
The Congress party is considered very weak in the assembly seat of Bharatpur city. The year 1998 was won by Congress candidate RP Sharma, but in the year 2003 assembly elections, rebel candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party Vijay Bansal from INLD (Indian National Lok Dal) won.
Congress’s condition critical on Bharatpur assembly seat
RP Sharma was on the second number. In the year 2003 elections, Vijay Bansal got 39 thousand 80 votes, while Congress candidate RP Sharma got 21 thousand 717 votes. After the 2003 elections, the condition of the Congress on the Bharatpur assembly seat became more critical. Congress party’s candidate stood third and fourth in the 2008 and 2013 elections.
In the 2003 assembly elections, Vijay Bansal, who reached the assembly after winning from the INLD (Indian National Lok Dal) party, went to the Bharatiya Janata Party and contested the 2008 elections on the ticket of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
In the year 2008 elections, Vijay Bansal got 52 thousand 595 votes. Adityaraj Sharma from Bahujan Samaj Party was on the second number, Adityaraj got 29 thousand 109 votes. Congress party candidate Dharmendra Sharma got 18 thousand 480 votes.
Vijay Bansal created history
In the 2013 assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party fielded Vijay Bansal. Vijay Bansal created history by winning the Bharatpur assembly seat for the third time. No MLA has won the Bharatpur assembly seat for three consecutive terms.
In the year 2013 elections, Vijay Bansal of Bharatiya Janata Party got 57 thousand 515 votes, the second number was Dalbir Singh of Bahujan Samaj Party, he got 34 thousand 821 votes. Independent candidate Girdhari Tiwari was at number three, he got 32 thousand 185 votes. In the year 2013 elections, Congress candidate Mahendra Tiwari was at number four, he got 14 thousand 616 votes.
In the assembly elections of the year 2018, seeing its position weak, the Congress party made an agreement with the Rashtriya Lok Dal and supported the Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate Dr. Subhash Garg on the assembly seat of Bharatpur city. In the year 2018 assembly elections, Bharatpur assembly seat was won by Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate Dr. Subhash Garg. Dr. Subhash Garg got a total of 52 thousand 869 votes, Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate Vijay Bansal was on the second number. Vijay Bansal got a total of 37 thousand 159 votes.
Now the elections of the year 2023 are to be held after a few months, all the parties have entered the fray. When the veteran leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party addresses a public meeting in Bharatpur and talks about uprooting the Congress party in the elections, the Chief Minister of the Congress party talks about Mission 156. Bahujan Samaj Party and AAP are also preparing to contest the elections.
Congress has no alliance with anyone
As of now, the Congress does not even have an alliance with anyone. The thing to be seen is who will be the Congress candidate now. It is believed that if the alliance does not happen, then Congress will make Dr. Subhash Garg as its candidate. Because Dr. Subhash Garg belongs to Congress ideology and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had made Dr. Subhash Garg the chairman of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. If the Congress party gives the ticket to Dr. Subhash Garg, then there will be a tough fight on the Bharatpur assembly seat.
Because Dr. Subhash Garg was made the Minister of State after becoming MLA for the first time from Rashtriya Lok Dal Party and Dr. Subhash Garg has done a lot of development in Bharatpur assembly constituency. Whom the Bharatiya Janata Party will field in front of Dr. Subhash Garg, time will tell, but the victory of any party on the Bharatpur assembly seat will not be so easy, there will be a tough fight.
