small investor share increased
According to Prime Database data, in the December quarter (October-December) of last year, the share of small investors in 871 companies listed on the NSE rose to 7.32 per cent, while their total investments rose to an all-time high of Rs 18.98 lakh crore. At the same time, foreign investors remained sellers during this period. There has also been a record increase in the number of demat accounts since Corona. The number of demat accounts has reached around 8 crores.
