Prayagraj Kumbh Mela 2025: Laurene Powell Jobs, wife of late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, had started her journey to Prayagraj to attend the Mahakumbh. Her aim was to become a Sadhvi and do Kalpavas and participate in all the royal baths. This was an important part of her spiritual journey, but during the journey she suddenly fell ill. He had to rest in the camp of Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri of Niranjani Akhara. Swami Kailashanand told that for the first time Lauren saw such a crowded place due to which she became allergic.
Swami Kailashanand Giri told that Lauren experienced our tradition and worship methods during Mahakumbh. She was asking many questions related to Indian culture and Sanatan Dharma and we are trying our best to answer her questions. This was his first experience in Mahakumbh and he said that he is very eager to understand our tradition. Lauren also visited Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and will rest at Niranjani Akhara till January 15 before returning to America on January 20.
Steve Jobs’ dream related to India
A letter written by Steve Jobs to his childhood friend Tim Brown in 1974 during Lauren’s visit to India was sold at auction in America. In this letter, Steve Jobs had expressed his desire to go to India to see the Kumbh Mela. This letter was sold for approximately Rs 4.32 crore and it highlighted Steve Jobs’s interest towards India and Indian culture.
Lauren Powell Jobs participated in Mahakumbh
Lauren Powell Jobs reached Swami Kailashanand Giri’s ashram on Sunday (January 12) and participated in the Mahakumbh. Lauren, 61, attended the festivities on Monday (January 13) wearing an orange scarf. Recently Niranjani Akhara named her ‘Kamala’ which is a name given to her under Hindu tradition.
