In a conversation with Pinkvilla, when asked about the similarities between ‘Amaran’ and ‘Shershaah’, Sivakarthikeyan, who plays the role of Major Mukund in the film, called Shershaah a good film but made it clear that he isn’t keen on comparisons. . “Shershaah is a very good film, but I don’t like comparisons. This (Amaranth) stands on its own. This is not to prove to anyone that this is better or equivalent. It is to show what Mukund and Indhu have given to this country. That was the only intention,” he said.

‘Amaran’ released in theaters on October 31 and has been performing remarkably well at the box office.
