Sirohi Sessions Court’s decision, 6 accused acquitted in murder-robbery case, court gave these instructions


Rajasthan News: Rajasthan’s Sirohi Sessions Court acquitted six accused in the 2016 Ramrang Dham Ashram robbery and murder case due to lack of evidence and concrete evidence. Session Judge Rupa Gupta, while commenting harshly on the low level of investigation of the then Circle Inspector Mithulal, has directed the DGP of Rajasthan to take departmental action against him and conduct special training.

Sirohi Session Judge Sirohi Rupa Gupta acquitted six accused in the famous case of attack on robbery in Ramrang Dham Ashram Khambal 8 years ago due to lack of evidence against the accused. In the entire matter, the Sirohi Session Judge has written a departmental letter to the State Director General of Police, making strong remarks against the then police station officer and the investigating officer, and has given orders to take action and get them special training.

This is the whole matter
Sirohi Session Judge Rupa Gupta acquitted six people due to low level of investigation in a serious case of single murder in an attack on the Mahant and his devotees with the aim of robbery at Shri Ramrang Dham Ashram, Khambal Sirohi in 2016. In this case, the court accepted that the then police officer, who investigated cases like murder and robbery, did low level investigation.

Rajasthan DGP has been ordered to take departmental action against the investigating officer and undergo special training. In this, Kanhaiyalal Prajapat, a resident of Bhavik Ahmedabad, was murdered in a midnight attack on Mahant Surdas and his devotees at Ramrang Dham Ashram, Khambal for the purpose of robbery.

During that time many devotees including Mahant Surdas and Mangal Singh were injured. In this case, on August 8, 2016, complainant Mangal Singh had lodged an FIR in Sirohi police station.

Instructions given for training the investigating officer
In a scathing comment in the court, Sessions Judge Sirohi admitted that in a serious crime like murder, the investigating officer, Police Inspector Mithulal, conducted low level investigation. While hearing the same case, Sessions Judge Sirohi Rupa Gupta acquitted the six people arrested by the police due to lack of concrete evidence and flaws in the investigation.

In the order of Session Judge Sirohi Rupa Gupta, it was said that special training should be given to police inspectors in cases like murder and robbery. In a crime like murder, the investigating officer Police Inspector Mithulal has done very low level research. Due to this, no evidence was found to prove the charges against the accused. Police Inspector is currently working in PTS Kherwara and training policemen and officers. How is this police inspector researched? They need special training in such matters.

What does the public prosecutor say?
The research officer conducted very low level research and had many shortcomings in the case. There was no solid evidence against the accused so that they could be convicted by the court. Public Prosecutor, Sirohi Dr. Laxman Singh Bala said that during the investigation, the investigation officer had taken chance prints from the spot. But, they were not matched with the chance prints of the accused. Eaten apple was recovered from the spot. The saliva found on it was not sent to the forensic science laboratory for matching with the saliva of the accused.

The location of the accused was not traced due to their presence at the spot due to the presence of mobile phones in their possession. In this case, the court held that due to the low level of investigation, no evidence was found to prove the charges against the accused. Due to which the accused have been acquitted.
