Bihar Weather Today: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding rain in Bihar. On Tuesday, rainfall was recorded in many districts of the state including the capital Patna. Today (Wednesday, September 25) also, the monsoon is going to remain active in most parts of the state. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain and thunderstorms in four districts today.
These four districts include Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Kishanganj and West Champaran. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for Araria, Purnia and Katihar. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in these districts.
According to the Meteorological Center Patna, a low pressure area has formed over the central Bay of Bengal and a cyclonic circulation has spread up to 7.6 km above sea level. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of thunderstorms along with rain in many districts of the state today. Cloudy weather is expected in many districts. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding rain with lightning in about 19 districts since today (Wednesday) morning. Apart from the capital Patna, it includes West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Bhojpur, Arwal, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Lakhisarai, Banka, Munger, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Aurangabad, Araria, Purnia, Kishanganj and Katihar.
Banka received the highest rainfall of 43.4 mm
According to the report released by the Meteorological Department on Tuesday, Banka has received the highest rainfall of 43.4 mm in 24 hours. Katihar has recorded 43.5 mm rainfall, Purnia 42.4, Nalanda 37.2 mm, Bhagalpur 35, Munger 35, Madhepura 26, Begusarai 24.4, Mokama in Patna 23.5, Khagaria 22.02, Araria 22, Lakhisarai 20.2, Nalanda 20 and Gaya 18.2 mm moderate rainfall has been recorded. Apart from this, Vaishali, Samastipur, Saharsa and Supaul also recorded moderate rainfall late on Tuesday evening.
The maximum temperature of Patna was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature was recorded at 39.4 degrees Celsius in Sitamarhi. The average temperature of the state was around 34 degrees. The lowest maximum temperature was recorded at 32.5 degrees Celsius in Rohtas. There is a forecast of a drop of 2 to 3 degrees in the temperature of the state from today for the next two-three days.
