In an interview to HT City, Shafaq Naaz talked about the problems faced by the family after his brother Sheezan Khan was arrested in the Tunisha suicide case. Shafaq Naaz said, “I am still struggling to process what has happened. I am still trying to understand my emotions. Sometimes it is all too overwhelming. “Nobody has any idea what I’m going through,” she says.
People say murderer’s sister on social media
Shafaq further said, “People have created an image for me and my family. Whenever I go on social media, I see such harsh comments against us. They don’t think before writing things like ‘Ye toh katil ki behen hai’. I can’t say that it doesn’t matter. It definitely affects me, it breaks me.”
Shafaq was asked to lose 10 kgs in 15 days
However, Shafaq and his family are not only facing hatred on social media, but the behavior of their own fraternity is also increasing their miseries. The actress revealed that due to her weight in this difficult phase, two projects got out of her hands. Shafaq says, “We are part of an industry that demands physical perfection. I am struggling with it. I was given 15 days to work on myself and get back in shape. How practical or realistic is that?
I am also battling with a slipped disc due to which extra care is needed while exercising. But, I still tried and put a lot of pressure on myself physically and mentally but losing 10 kilos in 15 days is not humanly possible.” The actress admits that this whole struggle of meeting unrealistic requirements has taken a toll on her. Self-confident was also affected and his confidence in himself was shaken.
Shafaq is in tension
Shafaq further said, “I started feeling that I do not deserve good things in life. I am suffering from a lot of tension. It gets tougher to deal with every day. There are days when I don’t even have the strength to get out of bed.
The industry did not support despite knowing everything
Shafaq also talks about the “extremely harsh” reality of showbiz and adds, “Whatever happened to us, and what we were going through, everyone knew. All I got was support from them (from the industry). There was an expectation to show and believe in me. But I got none of that. Social media created pressure but it was also the industry and people around who made me feel what I feel today. I cut myself Can’t cut it off. I need time. I don’t like it when I look in the mirror, but I need time to heal.
Shafaq Naaz does not want to be called poor
Shafaq says, “I do not want to be called poor. I was working out one day and it occurred to me that I should write about my internal struggle and I didn’t think about what people would say. I wanted everyone to know that actors’ lives are full of shine- Would not have been dazzling. Right now, there’s only negativity around me.” She adds, “And when you know there are other people traveling in the same boat, it gives you hope that you’re not alone in this, and that This too shall pass. ,
