Who Is Shantanu Naidu: Among those who mourned the death of businessman Ratan Tata, who left the world at the age of 86 on the night of 9 October, was a young man who was seen at the forefront of his last journey. Shantanu Naidu, one of Tata’s closest associates and his trusted assistant, was less than half Ratan Tata’s age, but the two had a unique relationship.
When the news of Ratan Tata’s demise came, Shantanu shared an emotional note dedicated to their friendship. He said, “I will spend the rest of my life trying to fill the void this friendship has left inside me. Grief is the price we pay for love. Goodbye, my dear lighthouse.”
When did friendship develop between these two?
The two met 10 years ago in 2014, when Shantanu started working with the Tata Group. Shantanu, a fifth generation employee of the Tata Group, started designing glow-in-the-dark collars for stray dogs, so that drivers could easily identify them and accidents could be avoided.
And one letter changed my life
Shantanu needed funds to expand his company and decided to write a letter to Ratan Tata asking for help. Shantanu was surprised when Ratan Tata wrote a reply letter within two months inviting Shantanu to come to Mumbai and work with him.
Actually, Ratan Tata also loved animals very much. Today during his funeral, a lovely dog was also seen which was his pet dog. Due to their love for animals, both of them together helped launch Shantanu’s company “Motopaws”.
Shantanu also launched a startup named Good Fellows, which connects elderly people with young friends. He wrote on the website, “I don’t know when it started, but I have always had a feeling of affection for the elderly. Looking back, I realize that many of my friends have silver hair and hearts of gold.” Of.”
Days passed and this friendship deepened
After working together, Shantanu and Ratan Tata became good friends, but soon Shantanu had to go to America to pursue MBA. However, he promised Tata that he would return to India after completing his studies and work for them.
Keeping his promise, Shantanu accepted Ratan Tata’s offer to become his assistant and was also appointed manager of the Tata Trust, the youngest person to hold the position. In return, Tata came to America to attend his graduation ceremony.
