Jammu Kashmir News: Security forces have arrested two terrorists in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. Both the terrorists are said to be local. Security forces have recovered two grenades from the terrorists. Both of them are hybrid terrorists. They are normal in appearance, but are involved in or assist terrorist activities, which makes them difficult to identify.
Security forces are running operations to catch terrorists
The search operation of the security forces is going on for the last few days to arrest the terrorists at various places in the border districts of Poonch and Rajouri of Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier on Wednesday (16 October 2024), after receiving information about the presence of terrorists, police and army had started a joint search operation late night in Mohri Shahstar of Gursai Top area. Additional forces were also sent to search for the terrorists.
During this period, there was firing for some time between the terrorists moving towards the forest and the security forces. Security forces have also deployed drones and sniffer dogs to trace the terrorists. Meanwhile, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Jammu’s White Knight Corps, Lieutenant General Naveen Sachdeva visited Doda and reviewed the security situation and operational preparedness. Many terrorist incidents have taken place in this district in recent times.
Helper of terrorists arrested from Poonch
After receiving information about the activities of three suspected terrorists in Rajouri district, security forces cordoned off Kundan and surrounding villages of Shadra Sharif area and started a search operation in the early hours of Thursday (17 October 2024). Last month, in a joint operation by the Indian Army and CRPF in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, a person who was supporting terrorists was arrested. Security forces had recovered a large quantity of weapons from him.
