Sameer Wankhede Case: NCB’s vigilance team has filed a reply in the court in the cruise drugs case. Important things have come to the fore in the reply filed by the vigilance team. In the reply filed by NCB, it has been said that the names of Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Khan were added much later, while the names of many people whose names were input were dropped.
In the reply filed by NCB, it has been said that after looking at the documents found, it is understood that mobile phones were not seized and their panchnama was not done. At the same time, no document was made to confiscate the valuables of the people caught in the raid. The NCB said in response that statements of several witnesses were recorded on this allegation. who confirmed it.
Aryan Khan’s custody was relaxed
In the investigation of the vigilance team of NCB, it was also found that laxity was done in the custody of Aryan Khan, so that it would benefit KP Gosavi. Apart from this, Sameer Wankhede, former chief of NCB Mumbai zone, was also investigated for adopting wrong procedure during service. It was found that he had traveled abroad with his family, but did not disclose the details of the expenses.
Along with this, Sameer Wankhede bought a Rolex watch worth Rs 22 lakh 5 thousand on credit for Rs 17 lakh 40 thousand, the details of which were not given properly. At the same time, it has also come to the notice of the vigilance team that the buyer and seller of the watch turned out to be the same person who had given money to Wankhede and his family to go to Maldives.
Major revelations regarding the property during the investigation
During investigation, Sameer Wankhede told the vigilance team that he spent Rs 82,87,399 for the Goregaon flat. The cost of that flat is Rs 2.45 crore. In this context, on the basis of his statement and documents, the price of this flat is looking different, which needs to be checked.
According to the reply filed in the court, according to Wankhede’s two-year ITR (1-04-2018 to 31-03-2020), his income was 31,55,883 and that of his wife was 14,05,577. Which was a total of Rs 45,61,460. Whereas, the unreported transactions in two trips to Maldives were Rs 7,25,000 and a Rolex watch was worth Rs 22,05,000, which is a total of Rs 29,30,000.
Wankhede told that before marriage his wife had invested Rs 1.25 crore for a flat. Their marriage took place on 8 February 2017, the ITR (2016-17) of that time has not been submitted yet. Because of which the source of Rs 1.25 crore could not be traced.
