Rajasthan Sachin Pilot Protest: Congress leader Sachin Pilot will start his fast in Jaipur on Tuesday (April 11). The complaint of the former deputy CM is that the Ashok Gehlot government of the state has not taken any action in four and a half years on all the corruption issues on the basis of which the Congress came to power in the state. These mainly include the mines scam and gravel mafia cases during the time of the then Vasundhara Raje government. Political agitation has also increased regarding this strike of Sachin Pilot. Know the big things related to this matter.
1. Sachin Pilot will start his fast on Tuesday at 11 am at the Martyr’s Memorial in Jaipur. He has not sent a formal invitation to any of his supporting leaders and MLAs to join the fast, but workers and supporters from several districts, including his own constituency Tonk and Sawai Madhopur, are likely to reach the site of the fast.
2. Former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot has said that he will go on a one-day fast in Jaipur on April 11 to demand action against the alleged corruption in the previous BJP government in the state. No action was taken (by the Gehlot government) on the corruption that happened during the previous Vasundhara Raje government. While in the opposition, we had promised that the Rs 45,000 crore mining scam would be investigated.
3. He said that six-seven months are left for the elections, the opponents can spread the illusion that there is some collusion. That’s why action will have to be taken soon so that Congress workers feel that there is no difference between our words and actions.
4. Senior Congress leader TS Singh Deo said that I do not think that Sachin Pilot has crossed any Laxman Rekha. This is not an anti-party activity. There is a difference of opinion in the family, but our family remains. Sachin Pilot feels that he has to answer to the voters that what action have you taken against corruption? I am not seeing this as a protest against the government. There should be an inquiry against Vasundhara Raje.
5. Rajasthan’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister Pratap Singh Khachariawas has supported Sachin Pilot’s demand. Khachariawas said that he agrees with Sachin Pilot and it is the responsibility of the government to act on the issues raised by the Congress party while in opposition. Khachariawas said that he would talk to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and urge him to take action on the issues raised by the pilot. He said that Sachin Pilot is the heritage of the party and Rahul Gandhi has also said this. I respect the issues raised by Pilot. I will also talk to the Chief Minister about this and say that we should take action.
6. Rajasthan’s Revenue Minister Ramlal Jat has accused Sachin Pilot of working against the party’s interest. Without naming anyone, Jat said that those involved in the race for the chief minister’s post should think that the party high command has made Gehlot the chief minister of Rajasthan. He said that the Chief Minister builds a wall, but a person breaks it with his wrong statements. What does it mean? Party workers have to think that they should not support such people so that Congress wins the elections. By doing this we will be able to move forward.
7. Sources close to Sachin Pilot said that while Rahul Gandhi was fighting Adani over alleged corruption, Pilot was raising the issue to hold the previous Raje government accountable. Congress has been raising its voice strongly against corruption in the country. A source close to Pilot said that if action is not taken against those responsible for corruption in the Raje government then why would people take us seriously. Pilot’s strike is not against anyone in the Congress but a fight against corruption.
8. Sachin Pilot’s loyal MLA Ved Solanki told a news channel that Pilot has raised the demand for action against the corruption of the previous BJP government led by Vasundhara Raje and many MLAs are with him, but they have been asked not to come to the site of the fast Is. He said that these are the issues that the party leaders had raised during the elections and said that the mining scam and other corruption cases would be probed.
9. The BJP said that Pilot should also demand an inquiry into the alleged corruption during the tenure of the Congress government. Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore said in a statement that the fight between the chief minister and his former deputy has escalated to such an extent that now Pilot will sit on hunger strike against his own government.
10. Congress media chief Pawan Kheda said that Congress state in-charge Sukhjinder Randhawa is in touch with Pilot. The investigation is going on in the Sanjeevani scam on the senior leader of BJP from Rajasthan, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. In Rajasthan, investigation is going on in the matter of conspiring to topple our government by buying MLAs from BJP. It would not be correct to say that the investigation is not being done. Khera said that if anyone has any complaint, it should be brought to the notice of the AICC in-charge. The Congress spokesperson also said that more information would emerge in the next few months on the investigation against Shekhawat. He said that the conspiracy to topple the Congress government in Rajasthan and every aspect of the Sanjeevani scam will come to the fore soon.
