Rohit Sharma could retire from Test Cricket: The Test series against New Zealand was full of difficulties for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The result of the absence of two senior players was that New Zealand had bundled out Team India for just 46 in the first test. Well, amidst this poor form of Virat and Rohit, Indian legend Chris Srikkanth has given a big statement. Regarding Rohit Sharma, who scored 91 runs in 6 innings of the series against New Zealand, Srikkanth believes that the ‘Hitman’ should now retire.
On his YouTube show, Kris Srikkanth predicted that if Rohit Sharma does not do well in Australia then he should retire from Test cricket. He said, “Now everyone has started thinking that if Rohit Sharma is not able to do well in Australia, then he will probably say goodbye to Test cricket. Rohit has already taken retirement from T20 cricket and after leaving Test cricket, he will play only ODI cricket. We will also have to keep in mind that he is no longer among the older players.
Big statement on Kohli also
Apart from Rohit Sharma, Chris Srikkanth also said a lot on the career of Virat Kohli. He believes that Kohli will make a good comeback in Australia. Srikanth said, “In my view, Virat Kohli will make a good comeback in Australia. In Australia, he likes to score runs, this is also his strength. It is probably too early to say that Kohli should leave cricket now, I am ready to accept his retirement. Not ready yet. Kohli still has a lot of time left.”
