RK Vishwakarma appointed acting DGP of UP, will take charge soon

UP News: After the retirement of DS Chauhan in Uttar Pradesh, now 1988 batch IPS officer Rajkumar Vishwakarma has been elected as the acting DGP of the state. Rajkumar Vishwakarma i.e. RK Vishwakarma is currently holding the responsibility of Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Board and also EOW. No separate salary or allowance will be given to RK Vishwakarma for this additional charge.

Please tell that Rajkumar Vishwakarma is an IPS officer of 1988 batch. After the retirement of DS Chauhan, now RK Vishwakarma has been elected as the acting DGP of the state. The term of DGP DS Chauhan, who took charge on May 12, 2022, is coming to an end today, due to which Rajkumar Vishwakarma has been elected as the acting DGP of UP. Rajkumar Vishwakarma will now handle this responsibility along with other responsibilities.

He has handled the responsibility of the post of IG in the SP government.

It is being told that the biggest reason behind the selection of Rajkumar Vishwakarma is his working style and honest image. RK Vishwakarma is called the second senior most IPS after Mukul Goyal. RK Vishwakarma is originally a resident of Jaunpur and has also held the responsibility of the post of IG law and order in the Samajwadi Party government.

It has been written in the DGP order letter that Rajkumar Verma is being given the responsibility of the Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board and the responsibility of the EOW as well as the responsibility of the acting DGP of Uttar Pradesh for the additional charge and till the permanent appointment is made. Will remain in office. Apart from this, it has been written in the letter that no additional salary or allowance will be given to you for this.
