UP CM Yogi in Karnataka: As the date of assembly elections in Karnataka is nearing, the election campaign has become very intense in the state. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also came out to campaign for BJP candidates in Karnataka on Wednesday (April 26). Yogi Adityanath reached Mysore and took part in road show and election campaign in Mandya district. After this, he went to visit the Basaveshwar temple in Vijayapura district in the afternoon and campaigned in Basavanna Bagwadi.
Congress works to appease
Yogi Adityanath Karnataka participated in his first election rally on Wednesday as a star campaigner of BJP. Praising the work of the state’s double engine government in his speech, he said that by banning organizations like PFI, he has worked to break its back. He said that on one hand the BJP government bans PFI and on the other hand Congress does the work of appeasement.

The UP CM also attacked the Congress over religion-based reservation. Yogi said that reservation on the basis of religion is against the Constitution of India, it is unconstitutional. He said on this that we have increased the scope of reservation for the economically poor, Scheduled Castes and Tribes, Divyangjan. India cannot advocate reservation on the basis of religion.
The country is not ready for another partition
Talking about the time of independence, Yogi said that India was divided on religious grounds in 1947. The country cannot support religion based reservation. He said that the country is not ready for another partition. The CM emphasized that only the concept of Ek Bharat and Shrestha Bharat will take the country forward.
He also claimed that no riots took place in Uttar Pradesh in the last six years because of the strong “double engine government”. CM Yogi said that the Congress talks about development, but the reality is that the 5-year plans that they used to announce, became a reality only after the period of the plan was over and ended soon. When PM Modi lays the foundation of a scheme, he also inaugurates it.
so decided to change the reservation
BJP leader Yogi Adityanath Said at the rally in Mandya that there was a provision of four percent reservation for Muslims under 2B category of Other Backward Classes, which was abolished by the BJP government in Karnataka during its tenure because there is no constitutional support for religion-based quota.
Subsequently, the Karnataka government bifurcated the four percent reservation into two equal parts and increased the quota by two percent each for the state’s two major communities, the Vokkaligas in the 2C and the Lingayats in the 2D category. Since then, the reservation for Vokkaligas has increased from 4 per cent to 6 per cent and that of Lingayats from 5 per cent to 7 per cent. He said, ‘BJP never believes in appeasement, so decided to change the reservation.
