Delhi Poll 2025: Ramdas Athawale’s party Republican Party of India (A) has also contested the Delhi Assembly elections. It has released a list of its 15 candidates on Saturday (January 11). RPI is an ally of NDA at the Centre.
The Central Election Committee of the Republican Party of India (A) has given its approval to 15 candidates for the Assembly elections 2025 to be held in Delhi. These include Sultanpur Majra, Kondli, Timarpur, Palam, New Delhi, Laxmi Nagar, Narela, Sangam Vihar, Sadar Bazaar, Malviya Nagar, Tughlakabad, Badarpur, Chandni Chowk and Matiala Mahal. RPI(A) has also given tickets to four women in this list.

Athawale fielded him against Kejriwal in New Delhi seat.
In the elections, all eyes are on New Delhi seat from where former CM Arvind Kejriwal is contesting. Athawale’s party has given ticket to woman candidate Shubhi Saxena from here. BJP has fielded Parvesh Verma in the elections and Congress has expressed confidence in Sandeep Dixit. Elections will be held on all 70 assembly seats of Delhi on 5th February while the counting of votes will take place three days later on 8th February.
The main contest in the elections is between AAP, BJP and Congress but some regional parties are also trying their chances here. The Left parties have decided to contest elections on six seats, while India Alliance allies TMC and Shiv Sena UBT have announced support for the Aam Aadmi Party.
