Rajasthan News: The principal of Jawahar Navodaya School in Sirohi found it difficult to comply with the court’s order. Rajasthan High Court has issued a warrant and summoned the principal. The matter pertains to denial of admission to the student in the examination conducted for class 6. It is alleged that despite securing high marks, an order was issued to cancel the admission of the student. The student challenged the order of cancellation of admission in the Rajasthan High Court.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Kalandri had conducted the entrance examination for class 6 in the year 2024-25. Honey Purohit passed the entrance examination. The school committee refused admission to the student citing departmental rules. The reason given was that the student had to pass the entrance exam at two places in the same year.
Warrant issued against the principal
Honey Purohit, with the help of advocate Rajesh Shah, filed the petition in Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur. In the month of October, Rajasthan High Court issued an order to Jawahar Navodaya School that Honey Purohit should be allowed to attend classes regularly while the petition is pending. The court said that the future of the promising student should not be spoiled. Honey Purohit presented the stay order and asked for permission to sit in the class.
Contempt of High Court order
It is alleged that the Principal did not obey the court’s order. Navodaya Vidyalaya did not allow Honey Purohit to sit in the class. Honey Purohit filed a contempt petition against the principal in Jodhpur High Court. Adopting a strict stance, the High Court summoned the Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Kalandri with a bailable warrant.
