Significantly, three months ago, there was an earthquake in the politics of Rajasthan, when more than 90 Congress MLAs resigned collectively.

The Congress MLAs who resigned on Saturday have started withdrawing their resignations by writing a one-line letter to Assembly Speaker Joshi. Significantly, the opposition took this episode to the High Court and demanded a decision on the resignations. Two days before the court hearing, the Congress sensed what was to come. This is the reason why most of the MLAs who submitted their resignations on the night of 25 September have withdrawn their resignations.

Legislators took steps to avoid controversy

Significantly, 91 Congress MLAs had submitted their resignation letters to the Assembly Speaker three months ago on September 25, in which they opposed any move to make former state deputy Sachin Pilot the Chief Minister.

It may be noted that the Rajasthan High Court had on December 6 issued a notice to state Assembly Speaker CP Joshi on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Deputy Leader of the Opposition Rajendra Rathore, alleging inaction in taking a decision on the resignations submitted by 91 Congress MLAs before him. was accused of. The court has given Joshi three weeks to file a reply. After the notice issued to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the matter related to mass resignation is to be heard in the High Court on January 2.

In view of this, after the afternoon of Saturday i.e. December 31, about 80 Congress MLAs reached the assembly in their respective vehicles. Who gave an application in the assembly to withdraw his resignation. Everyone has written only one line in this letter that they are voluntarily withdrawing their resignation. Earlier also when Congress MLAs had resigned, even then only one line resignation was written. He told that he is resigning voluntarily.

On this episode, the party’s chief whip Mahesh Joshi said that I have come to know that the MLAs are withdrawing their resignations. It is between the MLAs and the Speaker. He further said that if everyone is taking back (his resignation) then I am also one of them.
