In a special conversation with ABP News, Democratic Progressive Azad Party chief Ghulam Nabi Azad said that no one should do politics of religion, no matter who he is. Questioning the working culture of Congress under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, he said that Congress has always taken a stand against casteism and religious politics and today Rahul Gandhi himself is doing the same.

Ghulam Nabi Azad also clarified on the allegations of helping BJP

Ghulam Nabi Azad has also given clarification on the allegations leveled against him by two big political families of Kashmir, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, of helping BJP. He said that neither will Muslims vote for BJP on my request nor will Hindus support me on BJP’s request. He said that the reality is that Omar Abdullah himself has been a minister in NDA and Mehbooba Mufti has run the government with BJP.

Targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, he said that Rahul Gandhi ran away from Uttar Pradesh (Amethi) out of fear. If he had to defeat BJP, he would not be able to defeat it if he did not fight from UP. Raising questions on dynastic politics, he said that whether it is Rahul Gandhi or Omar Abdullah, these people are players of ready-made politics. No one has done anything for Kashmir till date. These people talk about development and in the end they start talking about Hindus and Muslims and then slip up. He said neither Narendra Modi Neither Nehru nor Indira Gandhi developed Kashmir.
