Share Market Opening 25 September: After setting new records on both the first days of the week, the domestic stock market is now facing the pressure of profit booking. Due to this, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty started with losses on Wednesday. Sensex fell by 150 points as soon as trading started.
At 9:15 am, the Sensex opened with a fall of about 150 points at 84,836.45 points. Nifty started with a loss of about 30 points at 25899.45 points. However, later the market showed a slight recovery. At 9:20 am, the Sensex was trading with a loss of about 30 points near 84,880 points and the Nifty was trading marginally 5 points down near 25,935 points.
Signs of pressure were seen before the market opened
There were signs of pressure before the start of trading in the domestic market. In the pre-open session, the Sensex had come close to 84,835 points with a loss of about 80 points, while the Nifty had slipped below 25,900 points with a loss of about 40 points. In the morning, the futures of Nifty in Gift City were also at 25,925 points with a discount of about 20 points.
Records have been made on both days of the week
Earlier, the domestic stock market made new highs on both the opening days of this week. On Monday, the Sensex made a new record of 84,980.53 points and Nifty50 made a new record of 25,956 points. After that, on Tuesday, after a slow start, the market again reached new peaks and the Sensex managed to cross the 85 thousand points mark for the first time and the Nifty crossed the 26 thousand points mark.
After the end of trading on the second day of the week, Sensex and Nifty closed almost flat. Sensex closed down 14.57 points or 0.02 percent at 84,914.04 points. Nifty closed up 1.35 points or 0.01 percent at 25,940.40 points.
This is the condition of the global market
The US markets closed strong on Tuesday. On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed with a slight gain of 0.20 percent. The S&P 500 index rose by 0.25 percent and the tech-focused index Nasdaq rose by 0.56 percent. Today, Wednesday, the Asian market is also seeing a rise. Japan’s Nikkei is flat, but the Topix is up 0.3 percent. South Korea’s Kospi is up 0.4 percent and Kosdaq is up 0.43 percent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index is showing signs of a good start.
Big Sensex stocks in early trade
In early trade, about 20 stocks on the Sensex are trading in the red. In the early session, Asian Paints was the biggest loser with about 0.80 per cent. Big IT stocks like Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Infosys and TCS were down. On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation’s stock was up more than 4 per cent. Stocks like Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Steel were also trading with good profits.
