Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has filed her nomination papers today. Priyanka had reached here on Tuesday night with her mother and Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi. During this, party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi were also with him.

Priyanka Gandhi addressed the people before nomination. During this she said that she has come here to become a member of his family. It is noteworthy that Priyanka Gandhi’s election journey is about to start from Wayanad by-election.

Congress general secretary and candidate from Wayanad constituency Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, while addressing a public meeting, said, “For the first time in 35 years, I have come to ask for a sponsor for myself. Crowd gathered in road show

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, before filing her nomination papers for the by-election to the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat on Wednesday, held a roadshow in Kalpetta, in which thousands of people, including United Progressive Front (UDF) leaders and workers, gathered. Through this by-election, Priyanka Gandhi has entered the electoral fray for the first time. Priyanka, who reached Wayanad with her mother and Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday night, led a road show from the new bus stand in Kalpetta along with her brother and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi.

During the road show, Priyanka was accompanied by her husband Robert Vadra, senior leaders of Congress and IUML. UDF workers and supporters, who had been waiting since morning, as well as common people of all age groups welcomed Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi with pictures of them, balloons in party colors and by playing drums.

BJP’s Navya Haridas is also in the fray

Priyanka is contesting against Satyan Mokeri of Left Democratic Front (LDF) and Navya Haridas of BJP. Lok Sabha elections In 2017, Rahul Gandhi won from Wayanad and Rae Bareli seats of Uttar Pradesh, after which Rahul left the Wayanad seat. By-election is being held here due to Rahul leaving Wayanad seat.
