Atiq Ahmed and his henchmen had transferred all their benami properties in the name of servants and other poor people. In whose name the land was registered, he also kept some properties in the name of other people with the same name. So that if a person with one name ever wants to grab the property, someone else can be put in his place. A similar case has been disclosed by Prayagraj Police.

Javed, Kamran, Faraz and others close to Atiq Ahmed had kept property worth eight crores in the name of their house cleaner Shyam. Shyam, the owner of land worth Rs 8 crore, used to work for just Rs 8,000 a month. A bank account was also opened in the name of sanitation worker Shyam. The plain check book had already been signed by him. The passbook was also kept by itself. The police had recently registered a case against Javed, Kamran, Faraz and others in Atarsuiya police station in this case. During the investigation of this case, it came to light that these people had also transferred some property in the name of another person named Shyam. Had done it. This was done so that Shyam could never change. If he tries to change, then another Shyam can be put in his place.

Had done such feats before also
Mafia Atiq Ahmed had earlier transferred land worth crores to three people named Hub Lal. Last year itself, property worth crores in the name of one Hubalal was confiscated by the police under the Gangster Act. Police have now also received information about two other people with the same name. All the accused against whom FIR was lodged were very close to Atiq Ahmed. Atiq also used to threaten his servant Shyam in the name of Ahmed. After transferring the benami properties to him, they used to keep him hostage. According to the FIR, the mafia had a deep friendship between Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen and Javed’s wife Rehana.
