Prayagraj News: After the twin towers of Noida, built on the foundation of corruption, were demolished, now the demand for the similar demolition of other illegally constructed buildings in UP has started rising loudly. Apart from the multistorey buildings of private builders in the Sangam city of Prayagraj, questions have been raised about the government building in which the office of Prayagraj Development Authority is located. In the information received from RTI, it has been revealed that the development authority does not have the map of this building of its own. Due to not passing the map, the nine-storey building with its own office itself has come on the verge of being included in the category of illegal construction. Without the approval of the map, there is a demand to demolish this building like the twin tower of Noida. .
Declaring the Indira Bhawan building with twin towers of Prayagraj as illegal construction, a case is pending in the Allahabad High Court seeking to run a bulldozer on it and land the building. A very important hearing is to be held in the matter on September 6. If the map is not presented in this hearing, the High Court can give a big order. It would not be wrong to say that how the development authority of Prayagraj, which does not have a map of its own building, would monitor other illegal buildings.
What is the whole matter?
In Yogiraj, maximum action against illegal constructions in Uttar Pradesh has been done in Sangam city Prayagraj. In Prayagraj, the bulldozers of the Development Authority demolished hundreds of big buildings and luxurious houses simply because their maps were not near or they were encroached. Along with Javed Pump, the buildings of former Bahubali MP Ateeq Ahmed and former Bahubali MLA Vijay Mishra were also demolished by bulldozers within a few hours.
The bulldozer action in Prayagraj, where a big political issue was made in the UP assembly elections, has caused uproar from the road to the Parliament. When not one or two but hundreds of buildings have been grounded, the same development authority does not have its own building and its office map. The High Court has summoned the commissioner here in person again on September 6. It has given an ultimatum that if the map is not presented even on this last time, the court will take strict action.
Map has not yet been filed in the High Court
In fact, the office of Prayagraj Development Authority is located in the Indira Bhawan building of Civil Lines, the most posh area of the city. Indira Bhavan itself was constructed by Prayagraj Development Authority in 1986. This ten-storey building is said to be the first multi-storey building in Prayagraj. Prayagraj Development Authority has its own office on the seventh and eighth floors of this building. Apart from having offices of other government departments and public undertakings, there are dozens of shops as well. In just 25 years, this building is now cracking at many places. There is also massive encroachment in the building. All the people have set up shops illegally. There is no proper parking arrangement in the building. Hundreds of people are on the way. A number of vehicles are parked in a haphazard manner. The roads near the gate get waterlogged in only a little rain.
It is also claimed that the development authority does not even have a map of this building of its own. In order to pass the map, the development authority had not started any process on the construction of the building 25 years ago. Many shopkeepers of Indira Bhavan filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court due to the increase in encroachment and all other types of chaos. Shopkeeper Mohammad Irshad alias Guddu, who filed the petition, says that before filing the petition in the year 2019, complaints were made to the officials of the Development Authority dozens of times. Information was also sought under the Right to Information about the map, but neither ever No action was taken and no information was given about the approval of the map under RTI. The officials of the Development Authority misguidedly presented a map made from the computer. It was not informed with it that when the application for the map was made. When Approved and who approved the map.
However, the High Court has asked the Development Authority to present the map several times in this matter. During all the hearings held in the last three years, the Development Authority has never been able to present the map. The commissioner was summoned personally. The new officer Vishwas Pant had taken charge of the commissioner here only 36 hours ago. He had appeared in the court and had asked for a few days’ time to inform the court about the charge being taken only 36 hours before. On this the court said that you only had to present the map. The work was of the officers and employees below. However, the High Court has fixed September 6 for the next hearing, giving the last time to the government employees.
Action will be taken if the map is not presented
The court had said in a strict tone that if the map is not presented even in the hearing held on September 6, then strict action will be taken. The Indira Bhawan in which the Development Authority has its office and the building which he himself has built. Petitioner Irshad Ahmed alias Guddu says that if the development authority does not have a map of the building with its own office and there is a large-scale encroachment, then This building should be sealed immediately and only after getting the approval of the map, it should be opened only after repair. He has demanded action like the Twin Towers of Noida.
There are complaints from all the shopkeepers and people coming to the building. The development authority officials are not ready to say anything about this. Apart from the cameras, the officers argue that this is a very old matter and they do not have much knowledge about it. , but no official is ready to speak anything in front of the camera. If there is no hesitation in running a bulldozer on them, then strict action should be taken against them for working against the rules.
