During this time there was an encounter between the police and the criminals. Notorious criminal Sushil Mochi died after being shot during the encounter. After the death, the area around the incident site has been sealed by the police team and the matter is being investigated after taking possession of the dead body.

Let us tell you that even after being lodged in Katihar jail, Sushil Mochi, the main accused in the gold robbery case, had conspired in the robbery at the house of Sabir Alam, the head of Khadi Mahingaon of Amour police station area. Police had arrested Asad Madani of Amour, who was involved in the robbery, and Poonam Devi, wife of jailed criminal Sushil Mochi, along with the money and other items looted in the robbery and sent them to jail. It is said that Sushil Mochi had come out of jail only a few months ago. As soon as he came out of jail, Sushil Mochi was about to carry out a major incident in Purnia district. He is wanted in several serious cases including robbery in Telta OP police station area, robbery in Balrampur police station area, robbery in Sudhani OP area, robbery in Aabadpur police station area.

Sushil Mochi Gang used to do recce of the place before committing the crime and then after reaching there, he used to cut bamboo from some bamboo sticks and make stairs. Then he used to commit the crime in the darkness of night. Notorious Sushil used to run his own gang. Many serious cases including robbery, dacoity, murder are registered against this gang. Three years ago, on March 10, 2022, more than half a dozen armed miscreants had robbed the house of businessman Abhiram Das in Pual village of Barsoi police station area of ​​Katihar and looted cash and jewelery worth lakhs. The police had arrested three people including the leader of the notorious Sushil Mochi gang of Seemanchal. The police had recovered more than Rs 6 lakh cash and stolen jewelery from them.

Giving information about the incident, Purnia SP Kartikeya Sharma said that notorious dacoit Sushil Mochi had terror in Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnia and Bengal. Many criminal cases including robbery and robbery are registered against him. Notorious Sushil cobbler had come to Tarabari of Bayasi to carry out a major incident of robbery. The police was already informed about this, after which a special team was formed. The formed team saw the notorious dacoit Babar along with 5 to 6 criminals in the gang in the early morning in Tarabari village of Bayasi. What a big incident they were going to do. As soon as Babar saw the police, he started firing. After this, the police retaliated in self-defense and killed Babar. Two arms have also been recovered from it.
