The video of the murder of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf is going viral on social media. It can be seen in the viral video that the attackers come and start firing. After being shot, both Atiq and Ashraf die on the spot. After the incident, the opposition is raising questions on the working style of the police.

After the murder of Atiq and his brother, Babul Supriyo, a minister in the West Bengal government, has targeted the UP police by tweeting. He tweeted that it is clear from the video of the incident that the UP police allowed the three assailants to “complete” the (premeditated) murder of Atiq and his brother. None of the policemen fired at the attackers, while the accused were in police custody. He has described this murder as pre-planned.

Former UP Chief Minister and SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav has attacked the Yogi government regarding the incident. In a tweet, he said that crime has reached its peak in UP and the morale of the criminals is high. When someone can be killed by openly firing amidst the security cordon of the police, then what about the safety of the general public. Due to this, an atmosphere of fear is being created among the public, it seems that some people are deliberately creating such an atmosphere.
