The deceased farmers included Nachhatar Singh of Dhaurhara in the district and Lovepreet Singh, a resident of Palia. The video of the incident had gone viral on social media, in which a speeding jeep was seen trampling farmers. Teni’s son Ashish has been arrested as the main accused in this case. Samajwadi Party, Congress and BSP are raising this matter fiercely during the election campaign. Meanwhile, the PM has given a statement.
