On Wednesday, due to ill health, he was admitted to UN Mehta Hospital in Ahmedabad. Today the Prime Minister had a program in Kolkata. The hospital had issued a statement saying, the condition of the Prime Minister’s mother is stable. According to the statement issued by the hospital, Prime Minister’s mother Heeraben Modi breathed her last at 3:30 am today (December 30).

Expressing grief over the death of his mother, PM Modi wrote, “A glorious century rests at the feet of God… In mother I have always felt that trinity, in which the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and the embodiment of values” Committed life has been contained.”
