India Mobile Congress IMC 2024:Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi Inaugurated the 2024 India Mobile Congress and while addressing it, talked about India’s many achievements in the world of technology. He further said, “Today India is focusing a lot on quality service. WTSA talks about making the whole world powerful. IMC works to connect the whole world. India is trying to take the world out of conflict and connect the world. When the local and the global unite, it impacts the entire world, but it is also a means of bridging the gap between the rich and the poor. “I am helping.”
PM Modi told the plan of 4 pillars
PM Modi said, “I remember when I was presenting the vision of India to the country 10 years ago, I had said that we will not have to move in pieces, but with a holistic approach. Then we created the four pillars of Digital India. Was identified.”

2. Digital connectivity should reach every corner of the country.
3. Data has to be accessible to everyone.

Journey from 2 to 200 mobile manufacturing units
PM Modi further said, “Smartphones could not become cheap unless we manufactured them in India. In 2014, there were only two mobile manufacturing units, today there are more than 200. Earlier, most of the phones we manufactured were from outside. We are making six times more mobile phones in India than before. We have not stopped at this, from chips to finished products. Engaged in providing in-India phones.”
India will become the hub of semiconductor ecosystem
He further said, “We are also making huge investments in the semiconductor ecosystem in India. Working on the pillar of connectivity, we have ensured that every home in India is connected. We have built a strong network of mobile towers in every corner of the country. This includes tribal areas, hilly areas and within a short time we have provided Wi-Fi facility to Andamar and Nicobar Islands. Did.”
Record made in case of optical fiber
Talking about the world record of optical fiber, PM Modi said, “The length of optical fiber laid in India in just 10 years is 8 times the distance between the Earth and the Moon. Two years ago, we had organized the Mobile Congress. 5G service was launched in India today. Today almost every district of India has become the second largest 5G market in the world and now we are also working rapidly on 6G technology.
He further said, “The innovations that India has made in the telecom sector are unimaginable. Today the price of internet data in India is 12 cents per GB, but in many countries of the world, 1 GB data is 10 to 20 times more expensive than this. “Indians consume an average of 30 GB data every month, taking all these efforts to a new scale in the spirit of Digital First.”
Women get more opportunities in tech leadership
Talking about the status of women in Indian technology, the Prime Minister of India said, “India is providing more opportunities for women in technology leadership today. Women have led digital programs. Today, in every village, women are We are working on technology which is unimaginable and in the future every daughter of India will become a tech leader.
He further said, “Our aim should be that no country, no region and no community should be left behind in this digital age. We have to ensure that our future is both technically strong and technically sound. Our future also has innovation. And there should also be inclusion.”
At the end of his address, PM Modi said, “In today’s time, cyber threat is the biggest challenge for us. No country can fight it alone. In such a situation, we all have to work together and eliminate it from its roots. will be.”
