Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0: Prime Minister Narendra Modi The PM-led government had launched the PM Awas Yojana to assist the economically weaker and middle class families in urban areas. Now the second phase of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY 2.0) has also started. Under this, one crore families will be benefited in the next five years. They will be helped in building, buying and renting affordable houses.
Benefits of the scheme will be available in four categories
The government will allocate Rs 2.30 lakh crore under PMAY 2.0. In the first phase of the scheme, 1.18 crore houses were approved. More than 85.5 lakh houses have already been handed over to the beneficiaries. In the second phase, the benefits of the scheme will be given to eligible beneficiaries under four components. These four are Beneficiary Based Construction (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), Affordable Rental Housing (ARH) and Interest Subsidy (ISS). The Central Government has started the process of online application for PMAY 2.0. Required documents include Aadhar card details, bank account information, income certificate, caste certificate and land ownership proof.
BLC: In this, the government will give the money to build a house up to 45 square meters on its own land. Financial assistance of Rs 2.25 lakh will be provided from the Central Government to build the house, while the amount to be received from the State Government has not been decided yet. In this, the annual income of the person should be three lakh rupees.
AHP: In this category, housing projects prepared at private or government level are to be constructed, in which EWS (economically weaker people) will be able to buy houses. Here also Rs 2.25 lakh will be received from the central government and Rs 50 thousand will be received from the state. In this also the annual income of the person should be three lakh rupees. This category is for EWS and LIG families, whose annual income is Rs 3 lakh and Rs 6 lakh respectively.
ARH: In this, housing projects will be built for rent. This is for those people who do not have money to build or buy a house. For this, the Central Government will give Technology Innovation Grant (TIG) at the rate of Rs 3000 per square meter per unit and the State Government will give Rs 2000 per square meter per unit.
ISS (Interest Subsidy): In this, houses whose cost is up to Rs 35 lakh will be given special facility to take home loan up to Rs 25 lakh. Those buying a house with an area of 120 square meters or less will get a loan subsidy of up to Rs 1.80 lakh. EWS/LIG and MIG beneficiaries will benefit from this.

First to apply www.https://pmay-urban.gov.in Go to the website and click on apply for PMAY-U 2.0. Now give details related to your annual income, address and other documents and authenticate Aadhaar with OTP. After this you can submit the form and track the application on the portal from time to time.
