Pakistan: A 15-year-old fan of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala has been arrested by the police in Pakistan. The minor fan is accused of inviting people through social media for aerial firing on the first death anniversary of Sidhu Musewala. Police has confirmed the arrest of Musewala’s fan.
According to police, Sharjeel Malik uploaded a poster of Moosewala on his Facebook wall, inviting people to attend the singer’s first death anniversary celebrations at his residence in Okara, about 130 km from Lahore. The poster invited people “…to remember the late Punjabi singer and aerial firing would be done the way he (Moosewala) used to do. Musewala used to display guns in his songs, Which was very much liked by his fans.
Fan wanted to celebrate Musewala’s death anniversary
According to police officer Aslam Shahid, a neighbor of Malik lodged a complaint with the local police station. In which the complainant informed that the owner is planning for aerial firing at his residence to celebrate the first death anniversary of Musewala, for which he has also invited people.

According to the police officer, the complainant had also attached a social media post of Malik. Acting on this, the police arrested him on Sunday, a day before the program was scheduled. However, the accused boy was let off after he tendered a written apology and his father took an oath that he (Malik) would not indulge in such activities. It is noteworthy that Sidhu Musewala was shot dead by six assailants on May 29 last year in Jawahar village of Mansa district of Punjab. Musewala had earned worldwide fame on the basis of his songs.
