Pakistani conspiracy to run drug ‘boat’ in the sea failed, NCB-Navy caught drugs worth 2000 crores

2000 Crore Drugs Seize: The Narcotics Control Bureau has successfully confiscated 800 kg of narcotics in a joint operation with the Indian Navy. At present, the value of the seized narcotics has been estimated at Rs 2000 crore. According to sources, it has been learned that these drugs were being sent from Pakistan to India. On which the Navy and NCB have taken joint action in the Arabian Sea, off the coast of Gujarat.

Sources said that this is the first such operation where the agencies have seized such a huge quantity of drugs from the middle of the sea. It is being told that the joint operation with the Navy was started after the NCB received an input regarding drug smuggling in the sea. The drug agency had shared inputs with the Naval Intelligence Unit for the joint operation.

At present, the value of the confiscated drugs in the international market has been estimated to be more than two thousand crore rupees. At the same time, the seized drugs include 525 kg of very high quality hash and 234 kg of crystal methamphetamine of fine quality. Sources said that the special unit of NCB is continuously working on such intelligence inputs. He said that the agency will conduct such joint operations with naval forces in future.

Sources have informed that this operation was done on the night of 10 February. He says that NCB and Navy teams reached near two boats in the sea using RIB of INS Tabar, as soon as one boat entered Pakistan’s maritime border. At the same time, another boat was stopped by the Indian Navy. Up to 800 kg of suspected banned material was recovered from this boat.
