Owaisi’s AIMIM will give ticket to Delhi riots accused Tahir Hussain, will field candidates on these seats

Delhi News: Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM has intensified preparations for Delhi elections. Tahir Hussain’s name is also discussed in the list of probables of AIMIM. Former Aam Aadmi Party councilor Tahir Hussain, accused in the 2020 Delhi riots, can contest elections from Mustafabad seat.

The family of jailed Tahir Hussain will join AIMIM on Tuesday evening. AIMIM can give ticket to Tahir Hussain or his wife from Mustafabad seat. According to sources, Owaisi’s party is preparing to field candidates on about 10 seats in Delhi. With the entry of MIMIM into the fray, we may see a triangular fight for Muslim votes in Delhi. This will increase the challenge of Aam Aadmi Party and BJP can take advantage of the situation.

Tahir Hussain gets relief from the court

Recently Tahir Hussain got relief from the court. An FIR in a riot-related case was cancelled. This FIR was registered on 27 February 2020. This FIR was lodged on the complaint of the victims in the case of riot and disturbance on the first floor of the building. The court said that a case is already registered against him in this matter.

The court had said this in the hearing

Tahir Hussain was earlier elected councilor from Nehru Nagar ward on AAP ticket. During the hearing in November, the court had said that investigation of both the FIRs revealed that the rioters first broke the shutters of the parking lot and set fire to the vehicles present there. After this they went to the first floor of the building, where food was being prepared for the wedding ceremony. It is reported that the rioters set fire to the goods and destroyed the goods present on the first floor of the concerned building. Both incidents are part of the same case.
