Onion: Government has made sure arrangements for cheap onion, customers of these states can buy it at Rs 35 per kg

Onion Rates: Even in the winter season, all sections of the general public are not able to avail the benefit of cheap onions. Despite the new arrival of onion, there is no abundance of onion in the vegetable markets and its price is being seen at Rs 50 and at some places up to Rs 60 per kg. In such a situation, the government has taken steps to arrange cheap onion for the common people and we keep giving you information about it from time to time.

Under the initiative of the Government of India, to make onion available to the consumers at cheaper rates, onion is being sold at the rate of only Rs 35 per kg. Under this initiative, vegetable vans for onion are currently being provided mainly in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and their locations have been shared.

Check location of onion van priced at Rs 35 per kg in Uttar Pradesh

Here, onions are being provided at many places in Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur which will be available at Rs 35 per kg. These onions will be available at 25 places in Varanasi, while opportunities to buy cheap onions are available at 14 places in Sonbhadra. Onions are being provided at Rs 35 per kg through government vans at 15 places in Mirzapur.

Gift of cheap onion in Bihar

In Bihar too, to give the benefit of Rs 35 per kg, onion is being sold through vans in three cities. This includes the names of Patna, Arrah and Buxar. It is available cheap at 12 places in Buxar and at 6 places in Arrah, you can buy onion through van for Rs 35 per kg. The government has decided to sell cheap onions at 8 places in Patna.
