Tony Thakur, president of the state unit of NSUI in Himachal Pradesh, said that he opposes the guest teacher policy. Just like Agniveer is recruited in the army. Similarly, it is like recruiting Shikshaveer in the education department. He has raised a demand from the state government that youth should be recruited on the basis of commission only. Guest teacher policy is going to promote temporary employment. He said that the youth have many expectations from the Congress government.
The youth is looking towards Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu with great hope. He said that NSUI workers will meet the leaders of their neighborhood and raise the demand that the guest teacher policy should be withdrawn. He said that if the government does not listen to him lovingly, then those steps will be taken in the interest of the students for which the young friends will ask.

Addressing a public meeting in Kupvi, a remote area of Shimla district, on Friday, the Chief Minister said, “The state government will bring important changes in the field of education and health. The education infrastructure will be strengthened. Due to shortage of teachers in schools, teachers will be hired on hourly basis.” But the services of teachers will be taken until the principals are appointed for this, because change is the rule of nature. If yes, then it is paramount. The state government is working not in the spirit of malice, but in the spirit of public service.”
