Airtel Payment Bank: If your bank account is in Airtel Payment Bank, then soon you will be able to withdraw money from the bank by showing your Aadhaar number and your face. Airtel Payments Bank has joined hands with National Payments Corporation of India for this and has introduced face authentication for Aadhaar enabled payment services linked to the bank. Airtel Payment Bank has become the fourth bank in the country to provide such service.
Actually, NPCI’s Aadhaar Enabled Payment System allows people to transact at any bank point or access non-financial activity with the help of Aadhaar card number and virtual ID. Till now, to withdraw or deposit money on Airtel Bank, customers had to validate it with Aadhaar card number, fingerprint or eye verification. But now customers will get another facility and they will be able to do transactions easily through Aadhaar number and their face. This will benefit those people whose fingerprints did not match many times.
COO of Airtel Payment Bank said that we are very happy that we have joined hands with NPCI. NPCI’s Aadhaar Enabled Payment System will help people make payments secure and simple which is good news for both the customer and the bank.
Presently these services will be available by showing the face
Airtel Payments Bank will initially allow non-financial transactions through Aadhaar enabled face authentication. Like you can check mini statement and bank balance etc. with the help of this. In the second phase, people will get services related to transactions. The good thing is that under the guidelines of NPCI, Airtel Payment Bank will also provide this facility to the customers of other banks in their bank. Means if your bank account will be in other banks coming under NPCI, then even then you will be able to withdraw money from Airtel Payment Bank.
